Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless recaps for September 5 – September 9, 2022, feature a guardian angel coming through, hope where once there was none, warring cousins failing to bury the hatchet, and so much more.

The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, September 5

Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) bemoaned the hit piece published by Talia Morgan (Special Guest Star Natalie Morales); Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wasn’t overly sympathetic… A person unknown to the audience — but no stranger to Diane — rides to Diane’s rescue and strongarms Talia’s editor into canceling the additional articles she planned to pen. Talia, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are gutted. Nikki resigns herself to paying Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) a visit.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) encouraged Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) to sit with a therapist and come to terms with the role he played in Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death… Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) crossed paths at Chancellor Park; there may be hope for reconciliation yet… Abby Carlton Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) delighted in their togetherness… Kyle Newman (Michael Mealor) worked overtime to arrange a vow renewal ceremony for him and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier).

Adam tells Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that he’s joined the Jabot fold; Victor is incredulous; Adam is equally so when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) declares that she wants to take Connor (Judah Mackey) to visit her mother… Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) hit upon a seemingly perfect solution for the adoption woes — get Christine Williams (Laurelee Bell) to represent them.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) asks Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to give her the 4-1-1 on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) feud; Elena does just that and confides that she urged Nate to just throw in the towel at Chancellor-Winters… Imani Benedict (temporarily recast Denise Boutte) encouraged Nate to make himself heard.

Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, September 7

Adam disabused Chelsea of the notion that she’s leaving town with Connor. Sally chances upon the warring exes and throws her two cents in… Billy and Jack have a set to over the latter’s seeming preference of Adam to the former… Chelsea over-imbibes at Society and Abby volunteers Chance to see her home.

The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, September 8

After a rough start, and following a pep talk from Mariah, Tessa rallies and gives a fierce performance during a photoshoot spotlighting Marchetti merch. Adam is cast out of the proceedings by Kyle… Diane and Adam find common ground — they’re both social pariahs… Billy invites Chelsea and Connor along on an outing with Johnny (Paxton Mishkind)… Elena advises Nate not to heed Imani’s push.

Y&R Recaps: Friday, September 9

Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) calls a meeting of the Chancellor-Winters board. She stuns the assembled with her proposal to take the company public. At Billy’s urging, Nate presents his idea for a music festival; Jill enthusiastically approves; Devon argues against it; Lily hedges. An enraged Nate takes his leave and grouses to Elena that he’s putting in his notice.

Nick bristles when Victor insists that he fire Sally and succeed her as CEO of Newman Media… Sally and Adam achieve a degree of rapprochement, but the jury is still out on their romance.
