Neighbours farewell tour heading for Australia after strong UK sales.
Strong ticket sales for the Neighbours farewell tour in the UK have led to the announcement of a “one-off unique event” for Melbourne, Australia, in 2019.
At least five cast members from the cancelled Australian soap will perform in sold-out venues beginning in March in places like Manchester, Cardiff, and Edinburgh.
There will be appearances by April Rose Pengilly (Chloe Brennan), Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), Annie Jones (Jane Harris), and Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi).
Neighbours announced on Tuesday, August 23, that the tour will also stop in Australia in April. Tickets will be made available soon.
“MELBOURNE! “We are thrilled to announce that Neighbours: The Farewell Show will be coming to Melbourne for a one-time special event in April 2023. This follows the fantastic response to the UK Neighbours: The Farewell Tour,” read a tweet.
Date, location, and pre-sale information will be provided soon.
The full cast for this show will be revealed in due course, according to the poster that accompanied it.
The UK tour’s producer, Dean Elliott of Maple Tree Entertainment, said this about it in June: “There is no better time to take to the road than to mark the end and to honour its rich and lengthy history. When Neighbours: Live in Conversation sold out within 24 hours, we knew that the love for the show could see it tour the UK.
“We are eager to perform a show that the audience will enjoy and honour.”
